first of all restore ur system to an earlier date( a day before when u first installed nero) then move to a cyber cafe and search nero for windows vista then download that and install it again and if the problem persists then move to a near by laptop shop there will be compatiablity problem he will charge around 150-200
It's unlikly that HP will relesae he needed Vista drivers for your sound device.
That has been a problem with Vista since day 1.
If you want your sound back, you should go back to XP.
Windows Vista use a new software architecture, and hardware devices must comply with it, in order to be used by the new OS.
I think it only runs best with nero 6, it probably may be hard to find a standalone download now as nero have trials all over the place. I know it does not work with the latest nero's and when loading nero 6 on vista it will say that it is incompatible, but it does still run and work fine. Just try googling for it and you never know you may find a torrent to download.
Well ya can always remove the bad update.. You can actually remove then from add/remove programs.. find the latest date updates and remove them.. then it all may come right.
Also go to Forums about Nero I would think other may have had same problem?
May I also suggest Alcohol 120%, CopytoDVD, as alternate Burners...
