it sounds to me that you may have a blown speaker or speakers or that an internal wire inside your speaker box has come unplugged form your speaker if you are good at working on electronics i would try togo further into the problem and take the speakers apart or simply buy another set. they sell for extemely cheap at wal mart or even a dollar general
Thank you for choosing fixya.com. Go to your local computer accessories dept. store (Wal-Mart, Fred-Meyer, or other Electronics store that sells computers and accessories) - Ask a representative about a splitter that will allow you to plug the two speaker wires into the splitter, which will then plug into the one speaker port on your computer.(may need to take wires, if detachable) or speakers with you. This will make it easier to locate the correct adapter (splitter) for your speakers.
I hope this information is useful, and I hope you find what you need to get your speakers working.
The static is called "line noise". It happens when there is not a lot of protection between the copper wiring that carries the signals and the outside. One way for manufacturers to save money is to put just a very thin piece of protection around the copper wires, with no insulation. Just copper wiring and a thin piece of rubber or plastic. So that is why you hear the static noise, the wires are cheaply made and cannot keep out the signals they interfere with it...hence the cheap price. Wal Mart is good about giving refunds, bring it back and get a better made system. It might cost a little more but the sound will be what you enjoy. Don't forget to rate this 4 stars before logging out.
Speakers need to be used much often. If they are left without using they might get affected with dust and charge storage. It happens with generally every brand. The solution could be either servicing it or generally using it very regularly.
try going to control panel, the system icon, hardware tab, divice manager, check to see if your sound card does not have a yellow ! icon next to it, if it does try right click, go to properties, and reinstalling it, it does help if the computer is hooked to the internet so it can find it automaticly over the internet.
