Power problem - Polaroid FLM 2601

My Polaroid FLM 2601 wont turn on. it's just in the standby mode. pls help! thanks

    Same problem.. The poloraid flm 2601 will not turn on. The red light stays on and that's it. I called fox International and they stated they do not carry poloraid parts?? Any advise would be appreciated



    P.s I called Poloraid and the 2 numbers they gave me for parts were out of service

    Power light comes on but no picture or sound, pulled power supply apart has 35v caps in it?, if any has a service manual i would like to repair it, Thanks.

I just repaired mine by replacing the 2 electrolitic caps that had a bulge on the top. they were 1000uf at 35 volts---works again!!!!

1-866-921-PART (7278) TigerDirect has the power supply i just called and ordered one. It is for a Advent Tv but is the same part number. Original number is 667-L27M6-20C there number is 6LM00220C0. Hope this helps.

The Flm2601 is plagued with a poorly designed SMPS and needs to be replaced... The ONLY outlet selling those is Fox International and the PS model number is #MLT166A... I do have the manual for that PS but it won't do much good - it usually buldges several 16v caps when it goes then goes into a domino failure...
Good news is the supplies aren't expensive, I think the last one I bought was around $70.00 dollars and it's a plug and play.

I called polaroid and they sent me a power supply for free! go to their site to get the number.

You need to change the whole power supply unit. Your transformer inside it might broken and need to fix.

My 26" lcd television FLM-2601 polaroid is not working it constantly stays in standby mode you push power button and blue light flicks on then goes right back into standby mode how do i fix this?


First of all, check your input source on your TV.
Turn on TV.
Press the Input button on your remote.
Make sure the Source Input matches the corresponding device that is wired on the back of the TV.

Polaroid FLM-2601 wont power screen and red light never turns blue...I hear series of clicking from the powerboard when I try to turn it on. I replaced the caps today and it still does the 10seconds...


Hello sir. If you are still having the problem, try to replace these 3 caps C928 c932 c909 these are all 47 micro farrad at 35v 105c The one cap C932 is covered by hear shrink so you may not see it. Let me know if that works out for you.

How to access the inside of flm-2601


First- unplug it, Second- remove the back( can be tricky), Third- follow the AC cord to the power supply board and your there. Look for any Caps that may be bulged and replace them. Sometimes caps can be bad and look ok. Let ame know how you do>

Polaroid FLM-2601 power supply board


The part number is 6LM00220G0 and is priced at $80.54 at circuit city repair. It is easy to install once you remove the cover from the back of the TV and the housing for the power supply.
