my Polaroid FLM 2601 wont turn on. it's just in the standby mode. pls help! thanks

Power light comes on but no picture or sound, pulled power supply apart has 35v caps in it?, if any has a service manual i would like to repair it, Thanks.

Same problem.. The poloraid flm 2601 will not turn on. The red light stays on and that's it. I called fox International and they stated they do not carry poloraid parts?? Any advise would be appreciated

P.s I called Poloraid and the 2 numbers they gave me for parts were out of service

i called polaroid and they sent me a power supply for free! go to their site to get the number.

1-866-921-PART (7278) TigerDirect has the power supply i just called and ordered one. It is for a Advent Tv but is the same part number. Original number is 667-L27M6-20C there number is 6LM00220C0. Hope this helps.

i just repaired mine by replacing the 2 electrolitic caps that had a bulge on the top. they were 1000uf at 35 volts---works again!!!!

The Flm2601 is plagued with a poorly designed SMPS and needs to be replaced... The ONLY outlet selling those is Fox International and the PS model number is #MLT166A... I do have the manual for that PS but it won't do much good - it usually buldges several 16v caps when it goes then goes into a domino failure...
Good news is the supplies aren't expensive, I think the last one I bought was around $70.00 dollars and it's a plug and play.
