I updated my Nokia N73 thru nokia software updater..but since then my main camera i.e on the back side..i can't use it...i slide down the panel camera starts but nothing can be seen....totally black....i cn use by front camera..i.e vga...plz help me out...

first of all you have to download the software updater from the nokia webite..and once your done,connect your cellphone to the computer with a USB cable..

UPGRADE MY PHONE

There are mainly 2 various ways of updating the phone's software. You can do it by typing *#0000# and when the screen pops up, you can go to options then check for updates. Note that if you are using this method you would be charged for data packages by your service provider.

Please detail the specific error of the phone. Is the application itself not working or the shortcut buttons are not working(sliding panel, right side button). If it is a software malfunction, try doing the following:
1. factory reset(default code 12345)
2.format card (backup and restore, because sometimes the card gets "broken" virtually)
3.re-install OS
If there are problems with the shortcuts try this:
1. if the side-panel is faulty , try buying a new one
2. if the side button is the one not working, try opening the camera from any other shortcut

first u have to know your mobile code you can find it under the battery its 7digit number 
then u enter that number in the nokia site to see if there is a new software for u or no
if u find software then download nokia software updater and follow the steps but be aware of some boints
1-dont turn off your cell or pc becuse this will make your phone dead
2-make sure the new soft support your main languge and if not use the NSS to overright your languge code

untill unless it will get disconnect before finish its update..it ll affect ur parent board of ur mob...so better check ur main board whether workin or not..after tat ll go for further
