my blackberry pearl 8100 needs to be unlocked so that i can use it with with any sim in india. Plz let me know the best free softwre aviliable.

Gurucontact your service provider if you need to unlock the sim to use it with another carrier....it is free but it will take a few days to get the code back if they have tot contact the manufacterer....but you need the 16 diget code......after you get that, go to options, advanced options, sim card, type MEPPD. scroll to sim card, type MEP and pres the ALT key and then the 2 key.
if that doesnt work, instead of typing MEP2, try pressing and holding the ATL key and type MEPPE
if this works, a window will pop up asking for the unlock code....

There is no such thing as a free Blackberry Pearl unlock code or cingular blackberry pearl unlock software. You can get it unlocked with instructions at - http://www.globalunlock.com/phones/public/search?q=8100
