Question about Dishwashers
This is an older Jetclean that was here when we bought the house. I cannot find a manual and need to know if there is a drying agent dispenser that I just can't find???

If you have a disposal make sure it is clear. You can put some icecubes in it to clean the blades and run some water through to make sure the drain is clear. If the dishwasher will still not pump out all the water check the drain line from the dishwasher to the sink drain for obstructions. If the drain is you will have to check the pump for obstructions. Sometimes glass, popcorn, toothpicks etc.... can get in the pump and prevent it from pumping out. If the pump is clear, then you will need a new pump. Good luck to you.

Couple of things you might check. Make sure that the soap dispenser is clean and not gummed up. What kind of cleanser are you using? If you are using the packets that melt upon contact with water, you might check to see if the wraping is sticking to the door. If the washer is loaded in such a way as to prevent a quality size stream of water to get to the dispenser it just may stick. This was happening to mine. I like to make sure the dispenser is dry, and the front of the racks by the dispenser are clear of any large article that would block the stream of water. Also, once I put the detergent in I start the machine. I do not let the detergent packet partially dissolve and then dry onto the dispenser thus preventing it from opening properly.

if you leave loading draw or lid open and do a hot wash with no detergent water will enter replacing the detergent you will have to do this several times till wash tub runs with clear water then refill with rinse agent.
