You have the original software, correct?

XP , you can go to start, accessories, system tools, system restore. Pick a date you want to roll back to and run it.

Let me ask you ... do you do regular maintenance? Cleaning temp files and registry ? If you dont, these will make a major impact on how your computer runs.

I use CClean, a free to use utillity. I also use Comodo Regclean another good one. If you will go to www.pcworls.com and search Spybot - Search and Destroy, you can get an excellent tool to remove any spy ware you may have on your computer as well. Try these things before you do a restore. Also do a disk defragment.
