Ice in bottom of freezer

The refrigerator side of my side by side seems to work fine but the bottom of my freezer has a huge block of ice in it. I don't know where the water is comming from we haven't even hooked up a water line for the ice maker of dispenser yet. Is this a simple fix or do I need to get a whole new one?

Same thing - but I can't get the grill out. I have removed the fasterners, but it seems anchored at the bottom. It's not frozen, I thawed it out. Anyone know how to get this thing out?

Re: ice in bottom of freezer

That is because your compressor it does not have the pressure the one requires at this time let me try to explain this.... iside your lines there is oil and gas may be f12 ,f34 or diferente ok the only way to make the gas circulate on your sistem is with pressure that pressure is done with the compressor or motor, inside the compressor it has valves they are call flapers so because they are made of on steel and they are open and close so many times for second they can be wear out on some mechanic components inside the compressor that make the pressure by pumping it thru the lines to the condenser thru the evaporator and return to the compressor deposit and then again when that hapens there is not enough pressure and that condensation is just ride there on botton of your freezer way to fix you may be able to add more gas to compansate or replace the compressor and refill the sistem how did you see the info

I have a Whirlpool White Conquest Side-By-Side Refrigerator GS6SHAXLQ03, manufactured March 2003. The ice maker creates ice and fills the "holding bin" on the interior of the door. However,...

The ice will melt during the defrost cycle. Make sure your freezer is cold enough, at least -5, preferably -10. also, if your freezer is not full of food, put some milk jugs full of water in there to take up space. This will keep the temp colder when the compressor shuts off for the defrost cycle. if there is too much empty space, there is not enough mass to stabilize the temperature and keep it cold.

Ice maker leaking

Are you sure it's the ice maker that's leaking? We have this model & ours accumulates a HUGE iceberg in the bottom of the freezer, but the water seems to be coming out of the back, at the bottom of the back panel, where the vents are.

Refrigerator side is not cooling

You have a defrost drain blocked and a possible defrost problem with your refrigerator. Need you to get me the model number as shown in the photo locations below. Sears has a complete model number system that is confusing I know. Sears made it that way. Not sure why but look around the cold food door while open and look near bottom on the frame just above the kick plate. The number looks like this, (model No. 253.64802400 for example) I will need that number to help you solve the sound alert coming from your refrigerator. Find that number and we can go from there, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Refrigerator not cool

Hi, if the freezer has ice on the bottom, you nees to clear the drain hole.
Remove the rear panel and remove all the ice. After the ice is out of the drain hole, try and flush it real god (baisting seringe works great) with hot water. If I can assist you further, please let me know.

Di a total defrost and remove the back wall cover from the freezer. Look for ice buildup in the cooling fins. If the air channel is blocked, you won't get proper freezing.
