Question about NEC HT410 Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

NEC VT670 projector

The projector works fine. However, there is an oval of random blue dots in the center of the image, as if there was a thumb print on the center of the lense. It's there as soon as the projector is turned on and stays regardless of the input.

NEC VT670 - Lamp won't light. Replaced with new lamp, but gives same error. The manual says to wait a minute and then turn on the power again, but this does not work.

I have the same problem. The lamp appears OK. but she isn't coming on. It seems like a problem to start the lamp.
Did you find a solution?

Nec vt670 projector , displays "the lamp has reached the end of its usable life.please replace the lamp" the lamp and filter are fine how do i over ride this error

Typically you will need to replace the lamp. Do not try and squeeze the last hour from the lamp as there is now a chance if the lamp will shatter and scratch the mirror and lcd block rendering your projector with a permanent scratch when projected. If you already have a new lamp fittted then simply go to the menu setting, under installation or setup by memory and there is a reset option. Regards Kevin Andreassend +64-9-4142348

Large dot in the middle of the projected display

there is a burned-in spot on the polerizer light filter for the blue lcd. it makes sure the light is blue coming through, that's why it is black on a blue screen, and yellow when the red and green are the only light showing through. it needs to be replaced. pat # PFiLW0213CEZZ.

I had one with the same issue. After checking and rechecking the projector, I found that there was a lose conection between the CPU and the RGB output connection. It's really touchy.

Yellow oval

It is possible that the lenses are dirty.(Someone might have touched the lenses with wet hand)
Also check if the illuminating bulb is working fine. Like how old is it and does it need a replacement.
This should just work fine

NEC VT670 Blown Fuse

Hey SithPitt,
sorry I can't help you, but maybe you can tell me where to find the fuse. I opened the projector and have problems to find a fuse on a first view. The suspected place near ON/OFF is well shielded.

Random dots and no picture

Okay, I had the same problem exactly.

You can't fix it yourself. I took it to the NEC lab and they changed a card. luckily it was covered by the warranty.
