the stupid thing won't power up anymore. I try and cut it on and the green light just flickers then goes off. it froze when the lens was out too which means its been stuck that way for a while. I didn't drop it and the batteries are new. please help.

I found that cheap (new) batteries will not work in my camera. Duracell or Rayovac seem to work best.
I added 2 (new) cheaper batteries it took 1 picture the lenses would not retract and the battery light flickered. I found 2 new Durnacell and it works fine now. Hope this helps.
