I have one computer speaker that has a constant crackle/static noise. Please advise. They have been fine for 3 years and this just started.

1) Check the connections of your speaker wire at both the speaker and the PC. It's possible something might have come loose or is starting to become worn.
2) Try moving the speaker or your tower/cpu to another location, or if not, move any new accessories away from the speakers and wires. It is possible that you are getting interference from a new accessory or appliance (like printers or other electromagnetic devices).
3) Let me (us) know what the brand and model of speaker it is. Maybe there's more specific info we can provide.
