Question about Nikon Coolpix S51c Digital Camera

Color Options Problem

I changed the color on my camera from standard color to sepia because I was just looking to see what each color looked like and when I got to sepia, my whole screen went green, and then I could not see what I was pressing and then the screen to take pictures was brown. So to change it back, I can't see what I'm clicking to change it and I can't reset it or anything. Any tips????

When I take pictures now with my A85 the tint is green, my pictures have more of a green tint. is there a way of adjusting the color.

Sounds like the camera was adjusted for flourescent lighting. The PowerShot should have a menu with various Lighting scenarios such as natural, outdoor, nighttime, sepia, etc. I would check this first. It should be easy to find. If you can't adjust the color properly with these pre-set options, there may be an RGB adjuster although I doubt it. You can certainly use a photo editor on your computer easily as well to adjust the color balance easily. If you don't use Photoshop there are free online photo editors such as You want to look for Color Balance and an RGB slide bar, it is quite fun to play around with.

How do I get color pics with my Fuji digital camera it only seems to do black and white how do I reset it to color

All cameras have a setting where you can play with the colors that the picture will be captured in.
Some offer the basic, color, B&W, sepia (reddish). Others, and I am willing to guess your Fuji since these cameras generally offer more settings.
check your manual and it can guide you on bringing those settings back to the normal colors.
Once you do find it, play with it so you will remember the setting location and even be able to enjoy some of the other options!
My preference is to always take pictures in color and modify with a software. Remember you can make a colored picture into other options, harder to make a B&W into color or other.

How do you take black and white pictures?

Press MENU to display the menu, then select the Shooting menu.

The first item should be "Color", which lets you select the color mode. You can choose B&W for black-and-white or Sepia for sepia-toned.

Take a look under "Shooting Menu" in your manual. It's on page 32 in my copy.

Olympus FE 330

Unfortunately the camera does not have a menu option to take images in black or white or sepia. You can take them in color and then using photo editing software modify the image to be monotone or sepia in color.

What is the color mode? Can it be selected in the movie recording?

With P, A, S, M, mode, (set using the exposure mode dial) the following four modes can be selected to suite the image. Vivid color is to be selected to produce more vivid image than the natural colored image (default), Black and white is to produce monochrome image in black and white, and Sepia is to be if it should be the sepia tone. Also, they can be selected in the movie recording.*The color mode of the saved images cannot be changed. They should be selected before recording. *Automatic Digital Subject Program and AUTO can not select them. (natural color only)
