My Bosch also takes forever to complete a cycle. it can be stuck on "1 minute" remaining for literally hours. It also doesn't appear to be hot--it's the "57" model, not the 66, but I assume it's a pretty similar problem. It's driving me crazy, since these are supposed to be the best dishwasher available!

Dishwasher doesn't drain completly, I took off drain hose to see if it was plugged. Any other ideas?

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I understand by reading your post which indicates it is a dishwasher you appear to have a drain cycle concern, however if you could verify the make, i.e. Kenmore, Bosch, Whirlpool etc. And post the model number I'd be better equipped to help without generalizing.
I'll watch for your reply and try and help going forward. Thank you.

Macmarkus :)

The dishwasher doesn't complete the cycle and switches off without draining.

Try advancing the timer manually. It could be that your timer is sticking.

Bosch dishwasher not draining

Hi

"Dishwasher not draining" issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you’ll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.

Please note that dishwashers don’t drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn’t overheat.

Please post back for any further assistance.

Bosch dishwasher doesn't drain anymore

I would check the pump if its clear but not pumping down correctly check the drain hose if that's also not clogged then look into replacing the pump.

Bosch SHU53A dischwasher runs continuously without water

check and see if there is water in the base by removing the toe kick. if so then it activated your float micro switch. clear the water from the base. i use a wet vac, but if you don't have one just soak it up with towels. once that styrofoam piece on the left side of the base isnt submerged in water anymore then it should start. it could be a broken hose or bad part. check hoses if you have a rat or mouse lingering. otherwise i have also seen flexable cutting boards blocking the condensation hole on the inside of the tank on the right wall. if you think it was that then just keep those flexy cutting boards on the left side or top rack.

if no water is down there.. then where that styrofoam piece sets on the left side. find that red plastic rod and flip it upward a few times to un-stick the float switch with the dishwasher unplugged first of course.

Dishwasher bosch beeping noise

Found this on the Bosch website..... see 2nd to last step
The Cycle Completion Signal
This Cycle Completion Signal is a tone that sounds to alert you when your dishwasher
finishes washing and drying your dishes. You can either disable the tone or set the volume.
To activate:
· P ress and hold the right “Cancel Drain” button then press and hold the On/Off button.
· When the light on the “Cancel Drain” button you are pressing illuminates and the tone
begins to sound, release both buttons.
· P ress the right-most “Cancel Drain” button until the tone is either at the desired volume
or is silent.
· P ress the On/Off Button. The Cycle Completion Signal is now set.

Bosch NOT completing cycle NOR draining water

This may or may not be the issue: I have friends that bought a new dishwasher - I'm not certain, but I think it was a Bosch. They did have similar draining issues.

With their dishwasher, the installer did not follow directions properly. Yes, he'd "installed a million dishwashers", but was too self-confident to check the directions for something particular to this machine. There was something about the way one of the drain or supply hoses was supposed to loop around that was unique to installing this brand, and that ended up being the problem.

Make sure that your machine was installed properly in this regard, even if your installer says they know what they were doing. Call Bosch's customer service dept. if you have further questions.
