Re: Sound Drivers

You have to download the sound drivers and install the software..can't give you the exact driver as haven't specified much about your PC.
still try to download one of the common driver like realtek- Ac97... from the following URL ..

or try to download other audio drivers and install it...your problem would be fixed.

hope to get rated as fixed...

I reformat my pc using windows xp home edition after that my media player did'nt work at all. asking me my sound card to install

as i can understand you formatted using win xp so your drivers are not installed like VGA, sound driver.
you must have your motherboard cd use that disk to install drivers.

Sound card

It sounds like you have reformatted your hard drive and reloaded the operating system. In this case, you'll need more than just Windows to make the PC work. You'll have to reload the drivers for stuff like sound, video, ethernet, and maybe some motherboard functions. There should have been a disk that came with the computer. But don't worry if you can't find it. You can download the drivers from HP's site. This should be the link you need:

Can't detect sound card...

Here is the website for your software and drivers, if you don't have an original setup disk, for you particular model. The sound device is a piece of software that is given either with the motherboard for on board sound, which you computer came with , or the sound card, if you have installed one.〈=en&cc=us

My desk top hv no sound

ur motherboard has a disk containing the drivers needed for components like the vga card.. sound card (if integrated onto the motherboard), local area network (LAN) work.. this disk probably came along with ur computer.. unfortunately.. when you formatted th hard drive and reinstalled windows u got rid of all these drivers and they must be re-installed in order for these components to work..

if there is no disk present you can download drivers straight from the manufacturers website by typing in th make and model name of the sound card..or of the motherboard if p.c has a soundcard integrated onto the motherboard) into the address bar (the bar at the top normally..this begins with http://) you can find these details by going to start > all progs > system tools > system information > components > sound.. this will display the name and model etc of th card.. once on the manufacturers website there is usually a link for downloads to follow..

alternatively go to start > control panel > system > hardware > open "device manager" > once open look in the list for any yellow explanation marks anywhere..right click on any item showing this and delete..then restart the pc.. once it has restarted th pc will automatically detect new hardware and look for drivers.. often the best move now would be to rollback the drivers when given the option but this wont work after a disk format because th format clears th hard drive of everything..including updates and drivers so.. if you DO have a disk supplied with your pc carrying the required drivers (most new pc's will have this supplied with several other disks required to install software or applications...... this is far the easiest method of installing drivers

When installed INTEX 3D MULTIMEDIA PCI SOUND CARD it is giving sound but immediately it is disappearing

Dear Nath,

I met same problem with my client before. Hope this helps; Uninstall any music or sound application(s) that has remote control feature or disable it (uninstallation is preferred). Now, at Safe Mode(with built-in sound card disabled), in Control panel soundcard device properties uninstall all sound card drivers. Restart in normal mode and reinstall back the sound card drivers. By transferring the secondary sound on another PCI slots may help solve the problem, the reason is the IRQ number conflicts. One of the worst case we met to solve this kind of problem is by reformatting the system but do it only when there is a great need, extra time, file backed-up. Have a great day.

Best regards,
Rosener Guyano
