My itunes are not showing up on my computer and I can't download a cd to my ipod. What's causing this not to happen?

Your iTunes are not showing? If you mean your music is not showing on iTunes, have you imported it into iTunes? You can find import under the File menu, Add to Library and just guide to where your music is and it will import it. It must be in iTunes to get it onto your iPod, then you can sync your iPod to iTunes
