Do not buy Hp PL5060N/HP PL4260N plasma HDTV. Mine only lasted a little over one year (just when warrant ran out) Now, I find that many buyers have had the same problem--ysus board failure--$625 to repair--with only a 60day warrant. I guess HP knows about this but hasn't recalled them. When you call to report this, the attitude is "tough luck". I will never buy another HP product and am passing the word to everyone I know and a lot I don't know. Are there any others out there?

I was given a Samsung Vizon 42" LCD that had been dropped. The screen shattered. The LCD panel may be cracked (I haven't taken it apart to check yet). Is this repairable, or worth the cost? Also, if not, are there any potential parts to salvage? Thank you for your time, and i would appreciate any input offered.
