Maybe I can help. This symptom is caused by so many different failures inside the set. Most commonly, convergence chips go bad. Next, capacitors get weak in the power and sub power supplies. And finally, the hyper module eventually needs to be rebuilt by replacing all low value surface mount capacitors. All of these repairs will be needed on your set. All of these repairs require test equip and soldering / desoldering equip. In most cases you can have the set repaired for 200-350 and expect the high end of that range. If you attempt repairing it yourself, you can usually check for open pico fuses on the board, then disconnect the convergence yokes to see if set comes up temporairily. The best I can do is to inform you of your options and what to expect. Overall, it is a good, long lasting set and if it is repaired properly the first time, you should get at least ten more years from it.
