Question about Memory Cards & USB Flash Drives

1 Answer

Audio I hear no sounds over my speakers. When I try to open the volume control, it tells me that there is no playback device. I know there is, because two weeks ago, there was no problem, now there is. I've tried updating drivers and rolling back drivers, I probably screwed it up worse, I don't know. Do you have any clue?

Re: Audio

Somtimes I have that problem when cleaning up the drive once a month. I forget to install media player, power dvd etc.
You may try the OEM disks that came with the computer. Most let you re-install stuff without formatting and losing anything but I still back stuff up before just in case.
Hope this helped a little

The movie contains 'DRM' encoding -- "digital rights management".
The NOONTEC cannot access the Internet to obtain the DRM information to authorize playback of that file on that device.

My transcend 2GB pen drive is detect only in linux only

First, try the cord and the I POD on another machine. If that all works, then it's the machine. If that's the case, try this:

Unplug ALL USB devices.
Open Device Manager.
View, Show Hidden Devices.
Uninstall all devices under USB Controllers.
Uninstall all devices under Storage Volumes. Say no to any reboot prompts until you are finished. Also, if a Storage Volume doesn't uninstall, ignore it and move to the next one.
If you have a yellow ? with unknown devices, uninstall all of the entries there as well.

When this is done, reboot TWICE.

Reconnect the USB devices and see if they're recognized properly.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time

No sound on my boy's game Dell laptop

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

I think he may have meant do not install because you were downloading from another computer to your flash drive. If you would have installed, it would have been on the wrong computer.

So, insert the flash drive in the computer that needs the sound. Open the flash drive and install the driver. There should be a .exe or setup.exe, where you can double click and it will take you thru a wizard.

NOW, if there is not an exe, then you will have to do a manual install. To do this, open control panel. Click on add/remove hardware. Follow the wizard and when it asks you for the driver location, just point it in the direction of the flash drive.

* TIP: The manual is always a little difficult. I would recommend taking the easy road and getting on the computer that has no sound, going to this website, download and run the software. Install, reboot and your good to go.

Hope this helps and please let me know if you need further assistance.

Any idees?

Recovery Mode for Philips' GoGear
Open the Philips Device Manager (Start à All Programs à Philips Digital Audio Player à SAXXX à Philips Device Manager) and click on the “Repair” tab.  Then click on the “Repair” button to start the repair process.  Most of the time, when your player is in that state, the Device Manager will not recognize that your GoGear is plugged in.  If this is the case: Disconnect the player from the PC, and make sure the mp3 player is turned off. Hold in the volume + button on the mp3 player, and reconnect the player to your pc while holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + for 10-15 seconds until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up. It should recover your device if there isn't anything internally wrong with the player. Warning: this procedure will result in your songs being erased off the player, so they will have to be reloaded.
