I have two computers receiving wireless internet via my Linksys WRT54G router. I recently purchased an Acer Aspire one (mini computer) Can hook up to wireless at my daughters and at other places, but cannot hook-up at home - can connect, but states limited or no connectivity - have excellent signal. Any suggestions (I am no computer expert)

    Dear,

Try to change the wireless channel to same of where it is working fine. I know since you are not an expert, it may confuse you. There is nothing a normal user can do.

Hi,

For you to resolve this problem, you'll need to reset the router. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, and when you are prompted for the user name and password just input "admin" in both fields.

Try connecting your computer to the router after this process.

Good Luck.

I have had a Linksys router for awhile now and I

You see what is happening is that the signals are hetrodyning together and cancelling out, so it all just messes up because they are on the same basic frequency of 2.4GHz. Either make the antenna(s) Directional,or Try changing channels on either one, or both, if you can set channels as far apart as you can.

Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router Issue Allows 1 Computer at a time

Your router my not be DCHP enabled or it might not be assigning the IP addresses either.

I would do a reset and start all over with your security settings and see if that works. Worst case scenario you could always turn security off when your parents or others are there.

My Linksys WRT54G Will Not Work.

It seems that your cabling is wrong. This is what it should look like:
  1. Telephone outlet to cable modem (Via telephone cable)
  2. Cable modem to router (via Ethernet cable)
  3. router via Ethernet cable or wireless to computers
Does your setup look like this? Please let me know if not so we can configure it correctly.
