Re: trying to get my sandisk to down load music

1)Re-run the installation CD.
2) Go to:

3) If that fails, do this:
Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:

I dont know how to down load pix, videos, music.... what do i need to do first?

All you need to do is plug your mp3 player into your computer and after it finds the drivers for it and informs you that it is installed. You can either use windows media player to add music, photos, and videos to your player. Also you can open my computer and open your mp3 player and manually drag and drop all your music, photos, and videos.

Computer does not detect my sandisk m240 version 2.1 0A

1) Have you tried removing the software completely

2) Shutting down

3) Reboot and reinstall Sandisk software.

4) reconnect device

You should also go to the website and check for software and driver updates.

If there is no software for this device try plugging it into a different usb port and letting the pc reenumerate it..... if it was in a usb hub, take that out of the loop.

Hope this helps.

Cannot add new music or access previously loaded music

I know you hate to do this,..but reset your sanDisk, first,..if you've done this and it still doesn't allow you to add, will need to make a change in your settings....go to USB, then make sure you have selected "Auto Detect".

Sandisk sansa e260r

if you still have the software that came with it (and installed) plug your sansa into your computer....the software should recognize it...then look for a button that says "repair" or "format" im not familiar with the exact program but i know your problem all too well...*shudder* what that will do is it will REMOVE all the songs from the sansa...but if their still on your computer you should be fine...then it reinstalls the firmware(the codes and software that make it work) then you just have to re-addall your music and your all set :) if this doesnt work feel free to repost here :P

When i plug my SanDisk Sansa m230 into my pc it says failed to load because i dont have a interactive window station

Try this. Set up a new user on your PC. Go to start, control panel, User accounts, create a new account, leave the setting for computer administrator, once the new account is created, try and connect your SanDisk. If successful, copy all your music file to the new account and load your mp3 player up with music. This is much better than reinstalling windows. Try this and let me know.

Sansa m230 cannot see previously installed music files now that WMP11 is installed

To delete songs from your device follow the steps below
You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync panel in your windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
To format it..on your device..go, setting and there should be a format option option there..let me know if that doenst work for you...
Hope this helps

P.S.Please rate accordingly...
Thank You
