Changing the mode to use USB on panasonic VDR-D100 DVD camcorder...

Hello, I have a Panasonic VDR-D100 DVD camcorder. When I plug it into my pc the screen on my camcorder goes grey and it says "CHANGE MODE TO USE USB" and I am having trouble with finding out how to do that.I have gone through the manual and I haven't any software with the camera to put on my pc if needed. If anyone has a solution to why this is and how to change the mode please notify me A.S.A.P as I have had the camera for a while now and have grown sick of not being able to put my videos on my pc,
Thanks x

Try using only DVD-RW disc (not DVD ROM/-R/+RW) and format as "Video" mode. When you are done shooting finalize the disc. Then iMovie or your movie maker should recognize the video.

Panaconic VDR D100

im sure that your mini dvd will be readable with your dvd rom. if its not then try to use your mini dvd with your camcorder and use usb wire to connect it to your pc. install the cd driver came with your camcorder. use ulead movie maker to detect the camcorder and edit it to that. save it with any various types of videos that you like burn it with nero burner as a dvd you can watch it to your dvd player. hope that helps!
