Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S600 Digital Camera

SONYA CYBERSHOT DSC-S600

My camera is 6 months old. Recently when taking pictures, some parts of the image come out blurry. If the person is moving their hand, for example, the hand comes out blurry. It does not capture the image as completely still the way it used to. What gives? This is frustrating.

Sounds like someone has changed the shutter speed. Look in owners manual on how to change back to default. might also look at the picture type settings but setting the camera for action shots u will get better images if there is movement in the image.

My camera takes blurry pictures

I would try placing the camera on the table (very solid surface that doesn't move) then activating the self timer to take a picture. this will make sure you eliminate the chance that it's you and not the camera. if it still comes out blurry and you haven't inadvertantly switched it to manual focus, if the little thing has such a feature, you got a busted camera.

Hi, here is a temporary solution that might work for you as it did for me:

1: turn on the camera in picture/movie review mode
2: turn the screen off (not the camera)
3: change from review picture/movie mode to take picture/movie mode
4: turn the screen back on.

You should now be able to take pictures and record.

Hope this is of some help.
