How do I remove paper jamed in the printer?

My printer won't feed the paper and when it does
my printer jams. It only takes the paper down the right side. Help?

- hi. When I make the command to print it draws to paper in at the bottom right hand corner. That is where the roller is. There isn't one on the left side. It jams right at the beginning because it is pulling the paper in sideways. I don't think that there is any paper residue by roller. Not that I can see anyhow. When I just tried printing it starts and then an error message comes up about loading paper and it stops. Thanks for the reply.Oct 14, 2009

Last time I saw this there was a jam under the rollers at the front, where does the paper jam?

I use a flashlight and small mirror to look down inside where the paper goes. I usually find paper clips, nails, jewelry, candy wrappers, etc. wedged down inside stopping the paper. You can use a straightened paper clip with a hook on the end to help pull out things that don't belong.
