Change printer options on Macbook Pro (Leopard)

Help. I have a new Macbook Pro with the latest operating system. My 5610 works fine with one exception: I am unable to change printer options, so I can't print in greyscale or at the fast-draft (ink-saving) rate. What do I need to do? Susan in Slapout, Alabama

For example your printer may only run on window as mac O/S is diffrent from windows that why you can not change the setting on you macbook pro.there might be some up to date drivers for you printer on the internet that may help you solve you problem

If you used the original driver software that came with your printer, it probably is not compatible with Snow Leopard. Go here:
Click the download link and save the file to your desktop, then run the installer. This should load the most recent driver. Then go to System Preferences > Print & Fax, if your printer is not listed, click the + to add it. Hope that helps.

Five computers networked with Linksys WRT320N router. Operating systems: Win 7.0 on 3 computers (two hardwired)(one laptop - wireless), Snow Leopard 10.8 on 1 (wireless), and XP on one (wireless). Also...

Sometimes this problem occures when you install a later model wireless router.
Try installing the latest Wireless card driver on the XP computer and the LAN card drivers on the other computers except the MAC.

Can't print from MacBook, through Time Capsule, to Lexmark x5470

turn on the printer sharing via the system preference panel on the computer that is on the system via usb.
Then on your wifi computer look for shared printers and you'll see your printer in the list under the host computer name... use that setting and it should fire up for you!
let me know how it goes...

Will Accel-a-writer 4n work running Leopard 10.5.6?

Just download the PPD Installer from here: AW4N_OSX then install the driver. Use System Preferences -> Print and Fax to create new Xante Printer using Default or Apple Talk section of Control Panel.

Same problem.
Plus I am trying to find a legitimate download for a 12/600 printer driver that will let me print from my new MacBook Pro running Jaguar.

Can't print to Epson CX8400

I had the exact same problem with the endless blank pages "printing" out.  I have a MacBook Air with OSX 10.5.6.
Before I got a chance to try and delete and reinstall all the drivers all over again, my phone call was answered by a very helpful lady from Epson's support line US: 562-276-4382.
Here's how easy it was to fix: Go into Apple System Preferences, click Printer & Fax. HOLD CONTROL while clicking on the printer on the left side of the screen.  When you HOLD CONTROL, it allows you to choose the option to "Reset Printers".
Click "Reset Printers", and you will see them all disappear.  Simply plug in your CX8400 and click the plus button to add new printer.  It will search for the driver for you if you have an internet connection.  It worked for me on the first try and took only about 2 minutes total!!!!
I'd wasted so much time installing drivers and screwing with the printer before this.  Save your time for things that make you happy!  Share help when you can!
