Display is bland on power on.

When I try to power on my hp zv6000 this morning, I get three beeps and no display. That is display is totally blank. Both the external display and the built in LCD are blank. When I retried with the external display disconnected, I still get a blank LCD. Yesterday the computer was working.

Blank display, machine seems to boot ok but display is blank.

If you hear your computer beep once then your system has no problem. If it does'nt show a display, try to check the power of your monitor, if it has power. Check the power cords and also the vga connection.

First on with three beep with no display while now just on and of

you have a number of different codes. Is it 3 short beeps?or is one longer then the other?
If its 3 short ones, then try these.
the cpu could not be compatible,or needs to be replaced.
the memory chips could be bad.
Its hard to track down the problem without more information.I need to know if its an ami bios or something else. And I need to know about the beeps themselves.

Blank screen; Unresponsive computer, & three beeps in succession

2 short beeps and 1 long beep (repeats 5 times) = Unable to initialize video or video card required but not installed. Sounds like the card may have gone down
