My durabrand cd home music system wont come on

If you have no lights or power to the unit, check on the back of the unit to see if there is a twist and pull type knob for a fuse. If so, unplug the unit/player and take the fuse out. If it is damaged/broken/wire element burned/cracked, it will need to be replaced. Take the old fuse with you to make certain of a correct match(volt/amp/slow or fast acting)Most Radio Shack/Walmarts/Ace Hardware stores stock these type of fuses. They are very inexpensive, usually less than a $1 or $2. They are on most home entertainment equipment/t.v.s etc. to prevent some degree of lightning or power spike damage the unit.
