Re: no rca jacks

These are designed to hook to a head unit from Pioneer. There are many units that will work if they have a P as part of the unit number. There are some with some cassette units, some with CD units, some with other connections.

Hooked to speakers. no sound do i need a reciever? and if so what kind.

Yes, unless you're using self-powered speakers. Then there's the little matter of controlling volume. Otherwise, any amp or receiver that accepts the RCA or digital outputs. Find and read the manual.

BTW: how did you hook it to speakers?

Can i install a clarion cdc635 6 disc changer in a stock car radio

You sure can. Pull the radio out and then install a Line Output Converter to it. They look like this -,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=f3631e0cf306c035
From $10 dollars on up. Simply hook the speaker wires up to the converter and then run the RCA cables from that box to your CD changer. That's it. this is a simple project.

Only works on right channel, radio ok on both

That type of changer has an RCA cord from head unit to changer, try to check if one is not connected,if both are connected, try to interchange the red and white RCA plugs ( the left & right signals) if the left channel will work, you must repair or replace the cord.

Preplace the charger by another device

Yes it is possible with any cd changer that have RCA jacks behind the radio,
that is your case, you are goin gto install a audio sensing device, when the ipod is on the cd changer will stop,
when the ipod is off the cd changer will play 10 seconds later
this interface is only rca jacks easy to plug behind the radio and you can use any audio source, ipod mp3 sat radio
you can also buy a ipod cable

audio sensing device, it is made for sony, but will work with any rca jacks source, also cd changer must be present all the time, don't remove it

yes the rca's behind the radio are shot a power wire must of touched them.there is a small fuse inside the radio connected to the circuit board marked fu located and connected under the plugs in the radio. that must be replaced inorder to work. or if you want to cheat connect a grounding wire to the outside of the rca and it should work.

How do you hook up your ipod through the rca cable hookups in the back without the radio still playing?

This is different on every stereo, but generally the RCA ports in the back of the stereo are labeled "Aux" or something to that extent.

First, you must purchase a headphone jack to RCA cable which can connect to both your stereo and your ipod.

Connect the cable, turn your ipod on and start playing a song. Turn the volume on the stereo to a moderate volume so you can hear when the song is being played through your stereo. Then, using the selector switch, turn the stereo from "Radio" to "Aux" or whatever it says next to the the RCA plug ins on the back.

Hi, I am trying to get the aux input to work and am wondering which set of rca outputs to use, front, rear, or constant level? I have not been able to find out which one to use from my manual. I have...

There is either a headphone size jack on the back labeled aux or a blue square plug. If it is the headphone jack then you need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. But if I remember right you have the blue plug and need to buy the auxillary adapter. Then you need a 3.5mm to rca cable. The outputs are only outputs not inputs. Turning the Aux on in the menu does bring it under Source now.
