You will need a mini usb charger. You may have one laying around the house if you have a modern phone.
You may also order one like this:

The usb inside the unit broke; one of the teeth ;and i cannot charge the unit and also i cannot get to the memory to get the music i have record to saved what i can do.

Hi Tony,

You sound like you have a lot of problems. It may still be cheaper to buy an adapter charger instead of using the USB. Have you tried using a tweezer for the damaged USB part? its very difficult to fuse small broken electronic parts so I may just recommend, considering all the damage to get a new player

How do I charge the Go Gear Vibe other than USB port

Not sure what you are looking for, but you could get a wall charger. You or someone you know might have a plug for an older cell phone that uses the USB mini-b plug. That would allow you to charge it in your house or car without a computer. You can purchase USB charges for you home or car. Finally, you could follow the many instructables on building your own USB charger, if you wanted a learn something while you are at it. All of these would allow you to charge without a computer, which is what I think you are asking about.

RCA M4018 8GB MP3 Player

Mine didn't recognize either, so what I did is go into the device manager, find the opal in the listings, double-click, disabled the device, re-enabled it, at which time it shows that there's a firmware error. I then re-installed the driver from the cd, unplugged the opal, plugged it back in, and for whatever reason, the computer then recognized the opal as a mass storage device, instead of a portable music player. The computer now sees it everytime, and all I have to do is drag and drop any files I want into the opal. Works like a charm. Hopefully RCA will provide an updated firmware program in the near future, but this might work for you for now. Good luck!
