Re: ERR message

Unmount and remount the lens. Make sure you have the aperture ring on the lens set at the minimum f-stop number, ie f22, f32. There should be a small tab on the lens to lock the aperture ring in that position

Just recieived a used Nikon N80 and it gives the message of open door.Frame counter and film indicator flashes when door is shut and no film is in in camera?

Confirm tht DX shows in LCD. If not then press and hold shift button then press ISO so "DX" appears.Open Camera Back. Insert film cartridge, pull film leader out to right and align with red index mark (inside film chamber on right). Make sure there is no slack in leader.Close camera back until lock release snaps closed. Fully depress shutter until film advances to first frame.
Confirm " 1" and film transport show in LCD. If Film is not loaded correctly, "ERR" show on LCD. Open cack and reload film.

Nikon F100 does not advance film to start of roll,

Jim, it really sounds like one of threethings. Either will require a repair shop.
1. the film sensor is not recognizing film in the film chamber, or film across the back, therefore not telling the advance motor to advance film...
2. The film advance motor itself needs replaced.
3. The rear door latch switch needs replaced.
Since everything else seems to do OK, I doubt the main computer board is bad.

Can't rewind film

It should automatically rewind when the roll is at the end. For mid-roll rewind press both the rewind buttons simultaneously for about 1 sec and the film will rewind.

There's half a roll of exposed film that we want to preserve and we're getting a message "err."  We need the film to rewind back into the canister.

I suspect you are getting that message as the aperture on the lens is not set to its largest number (ie 22). The camera needs that so that it can control the aperture opening in the exposure modes. Try setting that to the biggest number, then power the camera back on and hopefully you'll be back in business.

Nikon N75 - error message, nothing working.

You have to reset the rewind counter by pushing the two buttons simultaneously - one on the side of the lens mount, the other by the release button - red, cassette symbols. This tells the camera there's no film in it.

'Err' & 'E"

Is the film loaded correctly? Have you tried reloading it? Also is it flashing DX too? That would mean the film speed is not DX coded so you need to set the film speed manually.

Err min Message

This can happen if you are using a non-G lens, without the lens aperture being set to the minimum aperture and locked.

Nikon n55 film camera

You must have your lens set to the minimum aperture setting for this camera to function. I.E. f22,f32. The aperture ring moves a small tab on the outside of the mount ring when in that position.

N80 camera

First, make sure that your lens is an AF lens (MF lenses won't meter with your camera). Next, be sure that the lens aperture ring is set to the smallest f-stop (highest number...usually f22 or f32). If something else is going on try to give some more detail.
