Half the screen is blue

Half of the screen is a solid blue but fades like a gradient into what the camera can capture.  Any chance it's something I can clean/re-attach/easily replace.  I have another old broken VX2000 at my disposal.  Thank you.

I solved my own problem. If you have a similar problem it's due to a disconnecting ribbon on the inside of the camera. If you need further instructions than that, email me at [email protected]

Sony dcr-vx2000 i turn it on and play a tape recorded on from another camera and it plays that footage with no blue covering the screen but when i go to capture mode it is covered by big blue gradient like cover. After capturing some footage like this i try to play it back and it records the blue. Someone said it was the heads. This guy says its the lcd panel but it played the other footage just fine. and badchecker says its a ribbon cable. anyone else have an opinion maybe with some evidence or more details.

Compaq cq1-1225 all-in-one desktop computer stuck in screen pattern loop at startup

Try a hardware reset.
Pull the battery out, unplug it from the adapter, and hold your finger on the power button for about a minute.
If you still can't get into the bios by pressing F10 of F2, i forget which one it is, try pulling ONE of the memory chips out.....try again....then the other memory chip and put the other one back in to eliminate any chance of faulty memory.

Good Luck!

Help I only have a blue screen

Try adjusting the settings to factory settings. Change the input to some other device. If problem persists, there is something wrong inside. It is better to show it to a qualified service technician.

Bottom half of desktop screen fades to black

Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

hope this helps

Monitor fades and turns blue

this sounds like a transistor issue concerning the ccfl lamps the power transistors are deteriorating and they will eventually go bad you can have them replaced and that should fix the issue. otherwise I would say have the capacitors that feed the ccfl's may be getting old and need replacement as well, its not something the average customer will want to do but if you have a service center that does electronic repair then that would be bst.
Hope this helps
