Hy i hv problm on yahoo messanger i cant see sent/recived messages in yahoo chat window i hv window 7

Hi,

Before we can determine what happen to your sent/received messaged, We have to check your archive preferences. If you haven't set this up before chances are your old send/receive messages are deleted once you logged off from yahoo messenger.

First Step, go to Messenger Menu -> Preferences->Archive. Make sure the option Save all messages is ticked. If not, this means you old messages are gone and please tick it on.

Second Step, if your Archive Preferences option is save all messages then Select the contact you wish to view the old messages.

Third Step, Press F3 or Click the recent messages. Once you click F3, you will see on top of message window option to view the full archive. Click it and window will pop open. Select the date of the archive you wish to view.

I need to retrieve my chat archives from yahoo mail.

Im sorry to say but, you cant retrieve your chat archives from yahoo mail. but you can only retrieve it in Yahoo Messenger.

In order to set the settings in Yahoo Messenger so that you can retrieve the chat archives for future reference,

First..
go to messenger > preferences > Archive > and choose Yes, save all of my messages.

This sets your yahoo messenger application to save all your chat messages even when you logout or close the application.

If you want to retrieve your chat archives, click the View Archive button

:) well i hope this solves your problem..
