Question about HP (399542-B21) 700-Watt Power Supply
I'm not familiar with the HP Provilliaon XP mother board and after moving the unit it didn't power up. found the P-8 wire plug detached. Need mother board connector pin-outs to find location for P-8? Thank Joe
P-8 is an extra for optional added items. Sounds like your power supply unit took a few jolts. The fine wires in the motor are under high tension. If too many snap, the frays cause a short and the unit won't power up. Try replacing that before you go buy a ton of stuff.
