If your phone fails to boot and you aren't getting to the point where you can type in a soft reset (pressing *#7780#) or hard reset while powered on (pressing *#7370#) then try the following hard reset from the power off...
Simultaneously press "*" , "#" and the Green call key and then press the power on the phone. Hold the three keys until the "formatting" screen is being displayed.
Keep in mind the hard resets will erase EVERYTHING (your apps and data - photos, contacts, calender, etc.) while restore to factory settings. You'll want to do a restore from a previous backup to get everything back on the phone.
If you don't have a recent backup, you still may be able to connect your USB cable to your PC and accessing your N95 as a drive to save the data you want (assuming PC Suite won't work to do a proper backup).
Be careful what you restore or reinstall. If the reset works but upon restore of a backup if you find you're phone is still failing, it's possible you installed a bad app that's causing the boot failure (I've done this a few times).
