Sounds like the pickup/feed rollers are worn. Once they wear down and/or dry up, they cannot pick the paper up as easily. Truth to tell, I am not certain replacement rollers can be obtained for this model (I work on the lasers, which are easier to get parts for; HP is less willing to make parts available for their lower end inkjets.)

How to adjust printer for thicker photo paper?

There are several ways to adjust your printer for thicker photo paper:
  1. Check the paper tray: Make sure that the paper tray is adjusted for the thickness of the photo paper. Some printers have adjustable paper trays that can accommodate different paper thicknesses.
  2. Use the manual feed: If your printer has a manual feed option, try using it to feed the thicker photo paper through the printer. This can help prevent jamming.
  3. Adjust the printer settings: Check the printer settings to see if there are any options for adjusting the paper thickness. Some printers allow you to adjust the paper thickness in the driver settings.
  4. Check for software updates: Make sure you have the latest software updates for your printer. Sometimes, software updates can include new settings or features that can improve the printer's ability to handle thicker paper.
  5. Check your printer manual: consult your printer's manual for any specific instructions on printing on thicker papers.
It's also worth noting that not all printers are capable of handling thick papers, so it may be necessary to use a different printer or have it professionally printed if none of the above steps work.

Why paper won't feed when shredder turns?

This may seem to simple but.......sometimes when you put too much oil into the blades through the top portion, the paper get drenched with oil and will not feed in. Plz try a few sheets or a thicker paper to push through. It may just be that simple. Good luck.

What does it mean: "put custom in manual tray"?

"generally" printers have a main tray and a manual feed tray, which is typically a fold down tray in the front of the printer. This manual tray allows the feed of envelopes, thicker paper, transparancies etc. including " custom sized paper" The printer is saying that your software identified that it "needs" custom paper instead of your
normal paper. Hope this helps.

PAPER IS COMING OUT OF THE BACK OF THE PRINTER

You probably have the feed selector set to straight feed, intended for thicker paper and card. Look at the back of the printer near the slot where the paper is exiting. There should be a lever or knurled wheel which you can select the paper exit path with.

How can i print on A4 cardboard. it does feed through because it is thicker than paper. is there way to set the printer to print on thicker paper?

Under your printing properties ( in what ever software your using under file, print), you can change the paper type from plain paper to cardstock choose this setting and you should be able to print. Also make sure that the paper your using is within your printers capabilities. Most printers cannot handle paper exceeding 60lbs. If you do it can cause damage to your printer.

E3 on LED paperwill not feed

Hello,

What you want to do is remove all paper, the prepare to run a print test page or print a blank sheet from some program, any program. Just be ready to do this.

Now, find a magazine cover or index card stock, something firm. Cut this magazine cover to the same width as regular paper 8 1/2 in the US or A4 in Eurpoe.

Now, when you start the print job, push the magazine cover or index stock through while its printing. Apply pressure it the key, to getting the thicker paper through.

This will clear the sensors in the printer and remove the error message.

Why did this happen? In the printer, there are numerous sensors to identify jammed paper. This can happen for the strangest reasons. By pushing thicker paper through while feeding paper by running a print job, the thicker paper forces the sensors back to their original position.

Worldvet

Paper does not feed

Try to adjust your margins in the paper feed tray, chances are they are too loose. Do not space your margins too loosely or too tightly, just enough for your paper size to fit. Also check if your paper thickness is setup for boards or thicker paper types.
