I have a Nokia 6300 and there is an icon showing the headset is attached but no headset is attached. The only way I can hear anyone is when i have the phone on loud speaker or when I actually plug in the headset. Have made all the headset settings general. Can anyone help?

Check your handset Settings to ensure that you are selecting your telephone default internal sounds devices instead of an external devices (such as your headset, or bluetooth for that matter).

Samsung-D807 Headset/Power Connector Crooked

It is a common problem on this model. This connector is fragil and prone to breaking.
To continue to use the phone without sending in for repair purchase an external battery charger.
I'm not endorsing it but if you don't know where to purchase it, try this site:
