Westinghouse LTV 19w3 shuts off

Ok, I send mine to be repaired.  This is what they told me.  Even if the power supply says that it needs a power adapter of 3.4A. It really need 4.74 or more. They used a universal power adapter like that and it worked without problems. Now I need to ask you if you know exactly the tip inside and outside dimensions to be able to buy a new power adapter.  someone told me that it was a 6.5 OD and 3.0 ID Let me know if this is true, thank you.

The same thing was happening to mine and the problem was in the power supply. Apparently, there was a loose connection causing it to go in and out. The round connector end that plugs into the monitor has two prongs on the inside. I was able to bend each prong toward the center with a thumb tack so that it would have a tighter connection, and it now works fine. Unplug from wall before working on the prongs.

the power supply over heats and shuts off it cant handle the heat i bought the other power supply for this tv and its still no good its the same voltage but for some reason on the new power supply they increased the amprage making it heat up even faster they just need to make the right power supply
