Question about IBM ThinkPad T30 2366 Notebook
I got water into the laptop and I replaced the new keyboard, still did not turn on. Please advice.
Depending on how long ago the water was spilt and how much was split you maybe able to recover the laptop. Unhook all power to laptop including the battery. Take out the memory, the keyboard, hard drive and your CD/DVD rom if you have one. Use caution removing these items, ESD. Used a hair drier on low/medium heat to help get ride of any water still in the laptop. This may take a while. Leave the laptop without its power and the rest of your hardware for a few days so it can continue to dry. Place everything back into the laptop see if it powers on. If not then the water may have fried your motherboard. You can then take it into a technician to see if it can be repaired.
