If you put the game in and it loads then sends you back to the dashboard with an open disc tray or please put in a game sign then you might need to send it to microsoft for repairs call 1-800-4myxbox or if you have a warranty from the store you bought it from trade it in for a new one there

Happens to my old Xbox 360. Unplug the power cord from the wall and leave it overnight, then plug back in in the morning and see if it works. (If it doesn’t unplug again this time only for 5 minutes )

A black screen appears on my computer when i open nfs prostreet

To all the fellas that have a problem with running Pro Street on Windows 7 or Vista.(you know the black screen upon starting the game) It doesnt matter which build of windows 7,vista you Have. the sollution to this is to go to program files or which ever localtion you installed the game. Rename the "nfs.exe" to "nfsps.exe" and go to the Pro Street Icon on your desktop, right click and click properties. go to the target path and edit the "nfs.exe" to "nfsps.exe"

e.g: "C:\Program Files\EA games\nfsps.exe". Please note that this may not be the same target path as yours depending on which path you have installed the game.

Click apply and ok. then run the game.
note: this fix is only for gamers that encounter a black screen when starting the game in windows 7.

We hooked it up and have no sound

From the Console Settings screen in the System area of the Xbox Dashboard, you can configure the video output of your Xbox 360 console for a widescreen, high-definition TV, determine your audio options, and check your console's serial number and Xbox Dashboard version.
Go to correct section for ... Audio

Change your audio output settings for games from this screen. These audio settings do not affect DVD movie playback. For DVD audio settings, refer to an individual DVD movie's setup screen.

Settings consist of:

  • Analog Output Settings: choose Mono to merge the left and right audio signals so that you can hear all sound through a connection to a monaural TV or monitor; choose Dolby Pro Logic II to listen in normal stereo (no audio surround receiver required) or to listen to Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Pro Logic II soundtracks from compatible games or other media.

Dolby Pro Logic consists of four channels of audio: front left/center/right and a monaural surround channel that is mirrored in each of your rear left/right speakers. Dolby Pro Logic II uses digital signal processing to generate 5.0 audio (front left/center/right, rear left/right) from any stereo (left/right) programming, whether from movies, music, or games. Unlike movies and music, however, games are specially encoded with Dolby Pro Logic II decoding in mind.

To listen in either Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound, you must connect your cable's left/right (white/red) RCA connectors to a compatible surround receiver. For more information, see our connection page for the cable you're using:
  • Digital Output Settings: configure this setting only if you'll be using the Toslink optical digital-audio output from a compatible Xbox 360 AV cable (optical digital-audio cable sold separately):

The default digital-audio setting is Dolby Digital 5.1. If this is your preference, you do not have to make a selection from this screen.

With the latest update to the Xbox Dashboard available from Xbox Live®, you can change the default display mode of the Xbox Dashboard from 480i to 480p. To get the latest Xbox Dashboard Using a Broadband connection and the Ethernet connector on the back of the console, connect your Xbox to the Xbox Live servers. When you do so, the latest version of Xbox Live, including the Xbox Dashboard, automatically downloads. You do not need to subscribe to Xbox Live for this update to automatically download to your Xbox. But if you don't have an Xbox Live account, get one! To set the Xbox Dashboard to 480p Connect your Xbox console to the component inputs of a TV that supports 480p with an Xbox High Definition AV Pack. Start the Xbox console without a disc in the tray to run the Xbox Dashboard.
