Problem for Sharp AL-1661CS All-In-One Laser Printer

I was told there was a way to reset with buttons on a Sharp al-1661CS Copier .
I replaced the drum cartridge with a generic and on the display it states to replace it ! I called Sharp and hey said that i the generic does not work with the Sharp that i need to purchase a sharp brand.
Please help me!

Sharpe are correct there is no known button sequence I know about as the drum normally has a resistor that blows when installed resetting the drum count.
