Video Problem I had a problem with a blue box popping up on my computer when I was working in Corel or watching movies. After having the computer fixed, I thought, I now have problems with my video playing to the voice. The voice is normal and the picture just jumps from still to still. It also now doesn't keep accurate time, you have to keep changing it. thank you

Re: Video Problem

Since your computer not in accurate time . you should replace the battery on the mother board. " that is called 'computer CMOS battery' that is very cheap less than a $, and then replaced it.
now; after replacing the battery then switch on the maybe you'll be prompted to press F1(after F1 you should "load bios setup default" then F10) if not then , continue and change your system time later.

In this (jumps from still to still.) you should install the correct driver of you Video graphic adapter. if you have cd/DVD computer utilities, find and install the Video graphic adapter (VGA) so that the problems will be corrected.
if you have no cd/DVD utilities its pretty to know your VGA model , or if ever the video adapter is built in to the motherboard please tell so that i can search it for you to download.

Publish and save your Windows Movie Maker movie to your computer

As most of you know, I make computer video tutorials and post them to Youtube for everyone to learn about computers. I do not use anything fancy or even expensive, in fact I use the free Camstudio program to record the tutorial and Windows Movie Maker to edit it... Windows movie make comes with most versions of Windows. In this tutorial I will show you how save and publish your windows movie maker production to your computer. This way you can watch it anytime you like, email it to friends, or upload it to Youtube.

What do you need to save a movie to your computer?

* You will need to have Windows Movie Maker on your computer. If you have a normal version of Windows then you will have Windows Movie Maker installed as well, however some versions do not have it. For example Windows Seven Ultimate doesn't have it.
* You will need a finished movie ready to save. You might have used Camstudio or even a video camera to record it.
* You will need storage space to save the movie to. If you save your movie as an .avi then it will take up twice as much space as a movie saved as .wmv. I usually save my movies as a .wmv as Youtube happily takes this format.

How to Publish my movie to save it on my computer?

When using Windows Movie Maker instead of saying save movie, this program uses the term "publish movie". Therefore we will publish the movie to the computer. This will save the finished movie file to play at a later date.

In this tutorial I will presume that you have finished editing your movie and now want to save it onto your computer.

1. In the tasks menu on the left side, when you have your program open, there is a menu. If you do not see this menu, press on File at the top and choose publish from the drop down menu.
2. If you do see the menu, go to the Publish section.
3. Click on "This computer". See the screenshot below.
4. A Publish movie dialog box will appear.
5. Fill in your movie name.
6. Press on browse to choose where to save your movie on your computer. See screenshot below.
7. Then press the next button.
8. The next window will appear.
9. Choose what setting you want your movie to be. If you choose the top choice, Best quality for playback then your movie will be an AVI and will be bigger in size and need more storage space. See below.
10. If you choose the more settings choice, you can choose more options.
11. See below, if you click the drop down arrow you can see the choices.
12. I usually choose "Windows Media DVD Quality (PAL) (3.0 Mbps)"
13. Down below it will show you the exact details of what your movie will be.
14. Now when you are ready you can press on the publish button and the movie will be converted and saved to your computer.

How can i download full movies to my pc

Try here: Most movies are DRM, copyrighted material. If you illegally download your ISP may send you a "Nasty Gram". Are you a member of NETFLIX, you can view movies, not download, if you have a membership, around $8 a month. I have it on my HDTV and computers. As I'm sure you know, Movies require a lot of HDD space. 1 to 3GB's per movie. Unless you have a big external drive to store on.

Computer video problem

Hi there

This is something you can try.

Go into My Computer.

Right click one of the video clips.

Select "Open With", then "choose program".

Now you should get a list of programs you can play the file with, the best ones are at the top.

Select Windows Media Player or Real Player.

Click OK.

Now if the video clip works OK....

Repeat the procedure, but this time check the box below that says "always open this type of files with the selected program".

How can i turn off subtitles on tv joy, i have tried evrything as per the manual Regards Mike

Is this on your television or your computer?

If on your tv - are you watching TV or a movie? If you are watching a movie, it should depend on what movie you are watching. If you are watching television, it is on your television. Hit menu, and look for closed captioning, and turn it off. What model of TV are you using?

If you are watching tv on your computer, what program are you using? Sometimes subtitles are Hardsubs, which means you cant turn them off. It depends where you got the video files from.

Mental problem/insufficiant tec knowledge

Video cards are definitely more for people who are into multimedia and video gaming.

The main reason to upgrade your video card is to take the graphical work that the computer does away from your main processor so it can do other things. Video cards are made up of two things, a processor and memory. So say you are watching a movie on your computer, and you dont have a seperate video card processor or video memory on your motherboard. When you play that movie, all the multimedia information must be processed through your processor and the data must be stored in your memory (RAM). This takes away from other things that your computer could be doing for you while you watch your movie. So by having this extra video card, you are able to run your multimedia information (such as games, pictures, or anything else that you see on the screen) much faster while the computer can focus on other things like running your word processor or your web browsing.

A more technical explination and history can be found here...

I hope this helped.
