YOur camcorder will have to have a 1394, firewire or ilink port. they are all the same thing ( firewire ) , bur sony calls it ilink so they dont have to pay apples licensing fees. If not, you will need a sony8 video tape deck with firewire out.

Any other questions?..keep me posted.

My camcorder won't work with our apple mac g5-cs3 computer

The problem is not with the camcorder. The problem is with the capture settings.
You can capture video via firewire or USB. Imovie has a capture mode that syncs with nearly any camcorder. Roxio Toast will also sync with a camcorder. Be sure the camcorder is connected and that the computer recognizes it. It may take a few on-off cycles to sync itt.

Camcorder wont work with mac os x

Your camera will not work with Mac period. It is a digital camera but is outputting an analog signal. Been there and done that with a TRV camera myself. There are lots of cameras that will work with your G5 Mac. I am now using a Sanyo VPC-HD 100 with my Intel iMac and it works great. Click the link for some supported cameras. This is not all of them.

How do i hook up polk audio speakers to the imac when the speakers have ablack and red hookup and the computer has a single hole for audio?

Your speakers need amplification. Otherwise you will not be able to hear anything, even at full volume. Once you have an amplifier, you can buy a 1/8 inch stereo plug to RCA cable (1/8" to RCA) from the computer to the amplifier. You'd then use regular speaker wire between the amp & the speakers.

My new Imac won't recognize my cannon zr65 camcorder help please.

Some FireWire cameras do not play nice with other FW devices. Try unplugging the LaCie drive and any other FireWire device, then connect the camera directly to the Mac. iMovie should detect it then.
