Avr 1804 denon 7.1 reciver

I must have accidently pressed the wrong button some where on my remote. it won't turn the unit on with the on button or off. It will turn on only with the main button and only off with the main off butto, also it won't function to get the tunner on or the dvd seems like theres no power or info going from the remote to the receiver. was fine till I pressed the wrong butto I changed batteries didn't help surround and tv all work just have to turn on at the main button on remote and shut off same at main. uesd to be able to change from tv to tunner by pressing #3 tuner button now won't work can do all functions manually on reciever thats it. any help sure would be appreciated thanks Ray in Abbortsford B.C. Did you check the Audio-Video slider button in the middle of the remote? It needs to be on Audio, else the remote sends video channel number signals when you press the numbers.

Zone 2 on my Denon AVR 1804 only works with an analog input. Apparently it was designed that way. WHY?

Because in order to use a digital input, the unit would have to completely power on. Zone 2 is designed so that it can be used with the main power off.

How to connect Denon avr 1804 connecting to roku hd

I connected by Roku to a Denon 1804 Receiver this way:- I plugged the cable that came with the Roku into VCR2 input jack of the Denon. (I used VCR2 because it was available).- Using the remote from the Denon, I made sure the slide switch was on "Audio." (See page 20 of Denon Manual).- I pressed pressed the System Setup button- *System Setup appears in display of Denon- Using the cursor buttons I scrolled to menu Digital in Assignment- I set Menu item 16 Coaxial to VCR2 since that was the input jack I used for the Roku. - After making the selection press the CH Select Enter button to save- To exit the System Setup press the System Setup button again- When using the Roku, select the input source as VCR2 (or whatever jack you used). You should now have sound through the Denon. The most important step is to read the Denon manual starting on page 20

Denon AVR 1804

You need to get the manual and do some reading first. I couldn't find the AVR-1804 but the AVR-1803 is avaiable. It should be close enough to get you through connection and setup.

Register with retrevo.com and download it for free.

Denon avr-1804 its turns back after 5 sec

Disconnect all speaker wires on back and then turn on. If it happens again, it's most likely a power supply problem. If it doesn't happen again, it was probably crossed speaker wires.
