Don't know about yours but TV's these days don't have Vertical, Horizontal, etc controls on the back of the set.
Sounds like you have a problem with Vertical Circuit. Could be a Transistor or Integrated Circuit has failed. They can, sometimes, be replaced but newer devices are not made to be easily worked on.

My horizonal control do not work on my WS-55315 projection tv..how or if it can be fixed?

Hi Mike,

First of all, thank you for contacting Fixya.com regarding on your TV problem.

Based on your description, it sounds to me that the picture of your TV is rolling from left to right (horizontally). If the symptoms remain the same in all inputs, then this is an indication of faulty signal board part no. 930b901003-55. You have to replace this board to resolve the issue. Click it HERE for the replacement.

Hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

Kind Regards,

Mjsazon

Sound is on, picture snowy, b/w and rolling to the left.

Ok, do a vibration test. shake it, hit it, shake the wire coming in and watch the screen. if it clears for a sec it is a bad connection. if not, let me know. When it is said that a picture is worth a thousand words they didn't realize how much truth was in the saying. it is closer to 100,000 to 1. sound is the 1. if you have sound and poor video it could be a lack of signal. The rolling part is a lack of the sync signal. Barn

sounds like the update may have changed your video settings. Go to the settings tab and change your video settings to match your television, it will be 480p, 720p,1080i or 1080p I believe.
