Inside the heater there is a bimetal switch that turns on the fan when the heater reaches a certain temperature. I suspect this switch needs replacing. It is usually found attached to one of the fins in the core of the heater. Follow the wiring diagram from the blower motor to the switch.

There's a high limit switch inline with the motor - may need replacing.

Hi if you will go to this site: www dot fenwalcontrols dot com and search out products. Look for a surface mounted thermostat that is normally open. choose the cut in temperature you want and order it. when the core temperature reaches the cut in temp of the switch [stat] your fan will turn on. if you want it to run for a longer period of time, you could use the surface thermostat to turn on a pneumatic relay. the relay is tied into the fan circuit and closes when the relay is energized. as air bleeds out of the device eventually the circuit will open and reset. another use for the control could be to energize a solid state on-off timer like an Omron timer to turn your fan on or off.

I'm not sure whether this is a gas unit or not. With many gas heaters, the blower comes on when the heat exchanger gets hot enough and goes off once the heat exchanger cools. Other things are happening before the blower goes on. The blower is normally controlled by a "fan control thermostat". This stat actuates the blower when the furnace is hot enough so that cold air is not being blown around and allows the blower to run until the furnace cools enough to get out the remaining heat after the flame shuts off but not so long to again allow cool air to blow around. If this fan control is malfunctioning, you will get erratic runs from the blower or the blower may not run at all or run long or continuously. The fan control is the first thing to check.

Hayward Spa Heater H100ID blower will not stay on.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the solder connections on the control module. The connector that is soldered to this board (comes from the gas valve) needed to be re-soldered.

My Dayton garage heater model 2E636B does not heat up.

These heaters are the same as the marley heater, the element never gets red hot. the unit is set up so the fan kicks on after the element has heated to a certain temp and turns off after the element has cooled. It is common for these heater fans to cycle on and off quite often untill the air temp reaches about 55 degrees and then will operate normaly. If the fan still cycles too often you may have to replace the fan control and high limit switch. These are not very expensive and easy to replace yourself. they arte usualy attached to the back of the element with clips. The luke warm air is what these units put out. I have an equivelent to the dayton G73 and it heats a 24' X 30' garrage all winter in central Minnesota.
