If you plugged the replacement fan into the power supply instead of the "male plug on the mother board" you will get that error message. You need to find a fan that has the female plug for the mother board. It solved my problem.

This is due to a hardware conflict.
The system drivers on the hard drive are for the old mother board and devices,You will have to reinstall OS while it is install on the new mother board,The computer cannot boot to a drive that is loaded to another system unless all the devices and drive are identical.
To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS. Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE. Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.
THE SE440BX2 MOTHER BOARD CAN SUPPORT P3,P2 PROCESSORS(P3 850 MHZ)....,BUT NOT P4 AND HIGHER VERSIONS...THIS MOTHER BOARD SUPPORTS UPTO 768 MB OF RAM,NOT MORE THAN THIS...
i have never heared of any hardrive being able to boot when it is set as slave, as the master is always the 'C' drive from which windows looks for the master boot record.
why, if you have only one hard drive is it set as slave?, it doesnt make sense.
No hard drive will boot up if there is no jumper cap on it, as the motherboard needs to know which hd is master and has the o.s on it.
