Question about Microsoft Xbox Console
I just bought a used xbox for my son for christmas. When we hooked it up and turned it on it said your xbox needs service please call customer care. I did that and they wanted to charge me $80 bucks to have it sent in and fixed is there anything I can try on my own?
Well it sounds like your hard drive is broken,
and you can't just replace that cause its locked,
the the motherboard.
the best thing to do would be,
just to buy a motherboard and hard drive combo on ebay,
i don't think it will cost over $35.00
you will need a torx t10 and t20 screw driver to do the install,
and make sure the motherboard you buy uses the same,
power strip the xbox you have now uses,
you will have to take the unit apart to see what typ of,
connector it has.
hope this helps :)
