Have a miele S546 vac. and it won't turn on. Is there a fuse? Can the on/off switch burn out?

If you vacuum wont turn on it is most likely the cord winder. This is a pretty big repair, you wouldn't want to attempt it yourself. Most shops should be able to repair the cord winder for about $50-75. If you need a new cord winder expect to pay about $150.
