my bf steped on his laptop and there are 3 cracks that are black and green, can plasma screens befixed on the inside?

Laptop screens are LCD (liquid Crystal Display, most laptop screen are made up of 5-7 layers with the LCD plate in the back all bound together in an aluminum frame with the backlight installed on the bottom to light the LCD up. Thses can be disassembled and the inner plate replaced, but it is cheaper to just replace the whole unit.
