New ctg. change problems (by 2 users)

I have never changed a ribbon on our new Fargo C30. I have the ctg. which reads:
Fargo DTC400 part number 044230
When I place a new ribbon inside the right hand button on the top blinks without a msg.
Is this the correct ribbon? Or do you have any suggestions. I can not find a manual on the system to troubleshoot.

installed a new ribbon cartridge. Done the ribbon calibration, then the auto detect ribbon. Printer still says ribbon information unavailable. Please help. thanx.

ApprenticeIn the printing preferences there is an auto detect ribbon button . you should select it.
Your ribbon will be updated. Also if printer asks you if the ribbon is correct select yes. The printer will then print on whatever ribbon you have intalled. This doesnt work with test prints
