Water does not drain

For the water to drain, the controller must send power to the water pump and the solenoid (drain) valve.
If you hear the pump running when it should be draining then the controller and pump are working and the solenoid is bad (usually the case).
If you don't hear the pump running during the drain mode, then either the pump is bad or the controller is bad (not sending power to the pump).
Also, check that you do not have debris inside the dishwasher where the water drains. This is around the spindle in the bottom of the dishwasher cabinet where the spray arm comes up.
